PUSAT EDU-ECOTOURISM DIJENAMAKAN SEBAGAI PD FOREST
Port Dickson, 10 August 2020 (Korporat SUKNS) -- The Sungai Menyala Edu-Ecotourism Centre has been rebranded as Sungai Menyala PD Forest to boost the number of visitors to the state, famous for its beautiful beaches in Port Dickson.

Negeri Sembilan Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Haji Aminuddin Harun said the Negeri Sembilan government would like people to know that Port Dickson has not only beautiful beaches but also a unique forest that offers a multitude of activities for the visitors to do such as extreme cycling, camping, horse-riding, archery and trekking using the All-Terrain Vehicles (ATV).

There is also a 23 kilometre mountain bike track with seven checkpoints that provides a different kind of experience,” he told reporters after launching the state-level 2020 International Forest Day celebration here.

Earlier in his speech, Aminuddin said PD Forest would be a haven for educators and students who are passionate about forest research. It is in line with the objectives of its establishment as an eco-tourism destination as well as education centre suitable for visitors of all ages.

The 1,280 hectares Sungai Menyala forest reserve was also one of the largest lowland dipterocarp forests in Peninsular Malaysia and the area had been gazetted as a high conservation value forest.
